Choosing to have a boudoir shoot is a bit like exploring a new relationship. The thought is exciting and can take over your space in your thoughts. You’ll research, follow accounts, and even share what you’ve found with friends. Then there comes a point where you have make the first move. If you make the first move with DSD Portraits, you can relax for the rest. During our consultation and in all communications we will ensure you are well prepared for your session all the way down to the smallest details.
The Anticipation
You’ve committed to your boudie relationship with us, and now the anticipation builds. After your consultation you’ll be provided with our exclusive client guides walk you through skin/body preparation and curated styling options. Communication is always open so feel free to ask any questions you have about the process or the experience. There will be no doubt about what to wear or how to prep your hair so that you simply look forward to the experience ahead.
The moment
Its your day! Anticipation and excitement will be high as you begin your boudoir experience.
Once we go through the wardrobe options you brought with you, you will sit down for your professional make up and hair styling. The pampering process features a glam that enhances your features without overpowering your natural glow.
After the glam, the shooting starts. You might be surprised with how fun and light hearted the session becomes. It’s not just about being sexy, but simply feeling confident and fierce in your own body. I will demonstrate the poses so all you have to do is follow me. Once you’re in a pose, I will capture you from all angles, ensuring the most flattering images. After that, we will move through the next pose/set/outfit until your session is done!
I always tell my ladies to make sure they plan a night out after the session. Your makeup and hair will be on point, and you will strut your own runway for hours!
The Aftermath
There is nothing like seeing these images for the first time! Your reveal session is almost as fun as your shoot day. Sit comfortably in studio we select the images you want to keep forever. The products are high quality fine art albums and wall art that are timeless keepsakes of your beauty. You will be able to handle the studio samples so you can decide what products will best fit your space. Once you’ve selected your favorites digital images will be delivered via online gallery within 1 week. Print products typically arrive within 4-6 weeks. Once they arrive in studio, I will inspect them to ensure every detail is perfect. Then we will schedule delivery or pick up, whichever works best for you!
